New Wellbeing Rooms Open at St Patrick's Green
Village life can be very busy, especially when you’re out in the day, and then come home to a large community of people who enjoy getting together for regular catch-ups. While we love that there is always something to do at St Patrick’s Green, we also recognise that sometimes it’s good to take a quiet moment to look after your own wellbeing. Click here to learn more.
Boost the Sale of your Home
The housing market can be a tough place, but there are a few things you can do which will help your house to stand out from the rest and attract the right buyer. First and foremost, ensure your house is clean and free of clutter. If you have a lot of stuff that you’re unwilling to part with, consider putting some of it in storage while selling your house. This will free up space and make your house feel more open. Click here to read more of our hot tips.
2019: The Year of Music at St Luke's Green
Now that 2019 is well and truly underway, we have started planning our upcoming events at St Luke’s Green, Woolloongabba. All of us here in Brisbane are looking forward to another vibrant and fulfilling year in our little village in a big city. This year we are excited to be hosting a monthly series of intimate ‘music, coffee and conversation’ concert events. Click here to read about our upcoming musical events in our Brisbane community.
Brisbane, Save the Date for a Party!
In April we will be celebrating our 2nd birthday at St Luke’s Green! Please help us to celebrate by joining us at our Open Day on Saturday, the 13th of April - everyone is welcome, so please save the date in your diary. This will be a great opportunity for local Brisbane seniors to come and check out our village, tour our community areas, sample some delicious food, and take a peek at some of our available retirement apartments. We have a variety of apartments for sale in Greengate's Villages in Sydney and Brisbane. All have been designed for easy living and feature private balconies and high-quality finishes. Live in comfort and style, in a community of like-minded seniors in a Greengate Village.
Get to Know Jesse Morgan, Village Manager at St Brigid's Green
Greengate would like to wish a very warm welcome to our new Village Manager at St Brigid’s Green, Jesse Morgan. We sat down with him in our beautiful Maroubra village and asked him to tell us a bit about himself, here is what he had to say: “I am a keen history student, an animal lover, a Wallabies and Socceroos tragic, and my passions include travel, coffee, food and wine. I have bachelor’s degrees in both Social Science (Psychology) and Business and have always felt that community services gave me far more personal satisfaction in my work. I believe my new position at St Brigid’s Green is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I can’t wait to see where we will take this village in the future. I have been told that I “love a chat” so please don’t hesitate to call by and speak with me – I’ll be happy to hear from you!”.
Indulge with Chef Paul
Now that the weather is finally starting to cool down, we can’t help but indulge our sweet tooth every now and then. We asked Paul, our Head Chef at St Luke’s Green and pastry whiz, for his favourite recipe to bake when he feels like treating himself. Personally, we think this delicious brownie recipe is just as good for your wellbeing as a spot of meditation. Click here for the recipe.
